The Many Uses of Lectric Soda Crystals:
- Water Softener – add ½ a cup of Lectric Soda Crystals to your wash to break down those hard to remove stains. This means that you can reduce the amount of detergent you use in your washing machine to the manufacturer’s instructions for soft water.
- Cleaning Silverware & Jewelry – To put the shine back into silverware with ease, make a solution of 1 cup of Lectric Soda Crystals to a litre of very hot water and soak for 15 minutes in a bowl lined with aluminium foil. The tarnish will simply melt away. Rinse off and buff. Soak delicate jewelry in a half strength solution. Soft stones such as opals should not be cleaned using Lectric Soda Crystals.
- Bathing/Soaking – Lectric Soda Crystals are recommended by many Physio and Sports Therapists’ to help reduce swelling and for temporary relief of aching muscles and joints. Fill a warm bath and add 1/2 a cup of Lectric Soda Crystals and dissolve. Soak for ½ an hour and you will be amazed how revitalized you feel
- Unblocking & Cleaning Drains – Dissolve ½ a cup of Lectric Soda Crystals in a cup of boiling water and tip down the drain. Flush drains regularly to keep drains grease free
- Chopping Boards – scrub chopping board with dissolved Lectric Soda Crystal solution (2 tbls to one cup water) to get rid of lingering smells without tainting food. Rinse thoroughly.
- Cooking – Vegetables: for tender vegetables and pulses that retain their colour, simply add a teaspoon of Lectric Soda Crystals to soaking and cooking water. Steaming Fruit: A pinch of Lectric Soda Crystals added to stewing water prevents apples from going brown
- In the Garden: Mildew and blackspot – spray roses with a solution of one cup of milk and 60gms of Lectric Soda Crystals to 3 litres of water
